The Scientific Computing Systems and Services Division is seeking a highly motivated and technically inclined individual to join our team as a Data Center Technical Support Summer Student. This Summer Student position provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in maintaining and operating our state-of-the-art data center facilities. As a Data Center Technical Support Summer Student, you will work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to critical projects, and develop valuable skills in the field of data center operations.

This Entry Level position requires candidates to be a self-starter, highly motivated individual who can adhere to processes and be able to perform repetitive tasks with no deviation and demonstrate continuously consistent results. Team Members will be working in a team environment not only with other members of the team but also from other teams and must be able to communicate and promote cross-team functionality.

Job Responsibilities should include technical support for below items:
* Assist in managing and organizing inventory of server hardware, cables, and other equipment.
* Contribute to documentation efforts by updating and maintaining accurate records of equipment, configurations, and procedures.
* Participate in equipment rack and stack operations, ensuring proper cable management and adherence to safety standards.
* Server and networking equipment installation and removal
* Support Data Center Manager in daily works and activities as directed
* Contribute to documentation efforts by updating and maintaining accurate records of equipment, configurations, and procedures.
* Support and learn from senior technicians during maintenance and repair activities, gaining exposure to advanced troubleshooting techniques.
* Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to data center operations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
* Basic understanding of computer hardware components and networking concepts and terms.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
* Understanding of x86 Architecture.
* Experience in Microsoft office applications including but not limited to Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel
