This Materials Manager opportunity is full time at 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient day shift schedule. This dynamic individual will coordinate and control the supply inventory of the surgery center. Utilizing current inventory control techniques, the Materials Manager maintains the quality and quantity of surgical supplies while considering cost contain issues. This individual is responsible for evaluating and ordering necessary supplies, maintaining computerized inventory records, assisting the Director of Nursing in negotiating best price matching in a lead role for quarterly physical counts of inventory, acting as a resource for information concerning the status of items on order, assisting the business office staff in correct billing of implants supplies, and assisting in the purchase of capital equipment.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintains appropriate inventory levels of all supplies by initiating orders in a timely manner verifying deliveries, noting back orders, and monitoring usage of supplies
  • Meets with vendors to evaluate quality of supplies and negotiates best pricing
  • Maintains an accurate purchase order and receiving histories for supplies
  • Establishes par and reorder levels for all inventory items

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience in an ambulatory surgery facility or acute care hospital OR in a similar or related position
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Ability to organize work and follow through on own initiative.
