Job Summary: Under the direction of the CFO, this role will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting processes including monthly journal entries, accrual analysis and review, and financial statement preparation and review. The incumbent will also manage various financial reporting and filing and audit proceedings to include reporting for GAAP and SSAP.

Qualifications

Work type: Hybrid

Remote requirements:

  • Individual must be located within the Reno, NV region
  • Ability to travel 50% within the State of Nevada parameters

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • B.A. in accounting or finance. Master's degree and/or CPA preferred
  • 4-6 years of experience in financial analysis/accounting required, and strong conceptual knowledge of GAAP and SSAP.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (Lawson preferred)
  • Health plan experience strongly preferred
  • Strong financial acumen, attention to detail and ability to create process efficiencies
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Strong computer skills; must be a practiced user in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills which enable the identification of financial improvement opportunities and the establishment of practical and actional initiatives that drive impact Ability to analyze both quantitatively and qualitatively to problem solve and drive outcomes
  • Strong communication (verbal and written in English) and presentation skills. Ability to articulate in a clear and effective manner.
  • Strong project management and plan execution skills with the ability to respond to multiple competing priorities
  • High energy, positive attitude that encourages productive behavior among colleagues and staff
