Description

NaphCare has an excellent opportunity for a Forensic Psychological Evaluator - PRN to join our team - in person or remotely - at Washoe County Jail located in Reno, NV. Pay rates range per hour based on type of license, certification, Shift, FT, PRN, temporary contract, site needs, licensure, and experience.

Position Description:

  • Complete court-ordered evaluations and reports of competency to stand trial and/or mental health evaluations to inform specialty court eligibility and/or sentencing of defendants in custody.
  • Occasional courtroom testimony (remote possible) as required by the court.

Required Experience:

  • Professional degree requisite for eligibility to perform forensic evaluations in the state of Nevada (PhD, PsyD, MD).
  • Professional licensure (or eligibility) in Nevada, or Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (or PSYPACT eligible) for interjurisdictional telehealth practice.
  • One year or more of experience conducting forensic evaluations, either mental health forensic evaluations and/or competency to stand trial evaluations.

Preferred Experience:

* Nevada-certified forensic examiner credentials issued by the Division of Mental Health and Developmental Services of the Department of Health and Human Services (will be provided at no cost if not already credentialed).
