Job site is in Sparks, NV

As an Embedded Electronic Security Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various physical security systems deployed throughout our large production facility. You will work closely with the Security and IT teams to ensure these systems are fully operational, reliable, and compliant with industry standards. Your expertise and dedication will play a vital role in protecting our facility and maintaining a secure working environment. Please note that the person we would be placing would be a full time JCI employee would be certified in Genetec and Gallagher or Briefcam is preferred. Please note that the Gallagher certifications would be made with the assumption that JCI corporate has been approved by Gallagher as a certified dealer at the time of the approval of this contract. At this time JCI and Gallagher are in the contract approval phase of the process to be Gallagher certified, however it is noted here that this process has yet to be completed.

The person that we ultimately put in place at PENA will be evaluated based on the below listed provided job description from Panasonic Energy:

1. Install and Commissioning: Efficiently install and commission access control systems, camera systems and other electronic security technologies according to the established guidelines and specifications.

2. Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Conduct regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs on all electronic security systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

3. System Upgrades and Enhancements: Stay up to date with advancements in physical security technology and recommend upgrades or enhancements to improve system efficiency, functionality, and security levels.

4. Respond to Emergencies: Be available for on-call support and respond promptly to security system emergencies, troubleshooting and resolving issues effectively to maintain continuous operation.

5. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including the creation of service reports, documentation of changes, and updating system diagrams.

6. Collaboration: Collaborate with the Security team, IT department, and external vendors to address system integration, interoperability, and connectivity requirements.

7. Compliance: Ensure all electronic security systems comply with relevant safety regulations, industry standards, and internal security policies.

8. Training: Provide training and support to end-users and staff to ensure proper use and understanding of the physical security systems.

9. System Testing: Conduct routine tests and performance evaluations to verify the reliability and accuracy of physical security systems.

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent; further education in electronics, security systems, or related fields is preferred.

* Proven experience (3-5 years) in installing, maintaining, and repairing physical security systems such as access control systems, camera systems, and radio systems.

* Knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies in the physical security field. * Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.

* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently. * Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with various departments and external vendors.

* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.

* Flexibility to work on-call and during non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays, in case of emergencies or special projects. * Physical fitness and the ability to perform duties that may involve climbing, lifting, and prolonged periods of standing or walking.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $30-38 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
