This Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant opportunity is per diem and offers a convenient day shift schedule. This dynamic COTA will provide skilled intervention in our acute care setting and with established POC & treatment frequency, which will help reduce LOS, prevent delay in discharges and decrease the risk of patients discharging to a SNF.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for administering occupational therapy modalities of treatment as supervised by the staff occupational therapist
  • Administers treatments and physical agents as directed by the staff occupational therapist after the occupational therapist has evaluated the patient.
  • The occupational therapy assistant assists with restoration of patient functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability.
  • Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities

Qualifications

* Nevada COTA license
* Holds current certificate as Occupational Therapy Assistant.
* Current BLS certification.
