Generac is seeking talented Senior Backend Engineers to join our dynamic team in developing world-class factory software. As a Senior UI engineer, you will play a crucial role in automating manufacturing processes for our critical product line in the clean energy segment. You will primarily focus on developing software for manufacturing test processes to visualize factory operations and device telemetry. In this role you will have opportunity to design User Interface that will serve as a central platform to drive manufacturing orchestration.
This role is located in Reno, NV and requires on-site abilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Architect distributed software systems that allows machines to co-ordinate events with each other to drive the manufacturing process.
- Be able to code and test your software on the manufacturing setups at our various sites.
- Co-ordinate with manufacturing team to understand the requirements and translate them to tangible UI designs.
- Develop UI that can interact with backend systems .
- State management for data streaming objects indicating factory status.
- Work closely with manufacturing team to incorporate feedback for UI features.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters or Bachelors in Computer Science /Computer engineering .
- 3+ years of experience to develop backend software.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 3+ years of coding experience in React/JS.
- Understanding of distributed system design.
- Exposure to cloud technologies AWS/docker/data pipeline appliactions.
- Experience with Databases for event driven systems.
- State management through UI technologies.
Physical Demands:
This job requires ability to walk in the factory and test your software. Travel to manufacturing sights.
