Position Summary:

Quality Associates are responsible for repairing and servicing physician programmers, analyzing product returns, completing incoming inspection and product manufacturing as well as supporting the general needs of the quality and operations team. Quality Associates may also be asked to complete specialized projects in line with their specific skills or areas of study.

This is a part time position during the school year (10-15 hours) with additional hours during the breaks if able.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Returned Product Analysis

  1. Conduct returned product analysis per appropriate procedures.
  2. Coordinate with responsible Engineer to perform additional root cause investigation or troubleshooting activities.
  3. Appropriately document investigation and results.
  4. Update return procedures through Engineering Change Orders (ECO).

Manufacturing Activities

  1. Conduct product servicing and repair per appropriate procedure and document activities.
  2. Build programmer subassemblies from components, apply software, and/or conduct final manufacturing test per manufacturing procedure.
  3. Regionalize and package programmers for final geography per manufacturing procedure.
  4. Relabel and/ or repackage medical devices to comply with specific geography requirements per manufacturing procedure.
  5. Appropriately document activities.

Incoming Inspection

  1. Conduct incoming inspection (visual, mechanical and/or electrical test) per appropriate procedure or at the direction of Material Quality.
  2. Appropriately document activities.

Quality & Operations Support

  1. Assist with other general activities as required, under the direction of an Engineer or Manager, which may include;
    • Data Analysis
    • QMS Software and/or Website Testing
    • Product Testing
    • Training and Education Material Development
    • Documentation Archival
    • Non-product Research
    • Procedure or Work Instruction Development

Educational Requirements:

Required:

  • High school diploma
  • 2 years undergraduate schooling (or equivalent) in mechanical or biomedical engineering, math or science
  • Attending school here in the twin sities metro area

Required Experience:

  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft programs
